About this build
The FD RX-7’s curves are hard to improve on, so this project was all about the color. The car arrived in its original red and left in a gloss gunmetal grey.
The photos show the detail work along the way: film squeegeed into the fender seams, trimmed by hand around the taillights and heat-set along the cowl and windshield edge. You can still spot the original red in the in-progress shots.
